Let me tell you what the quote was this morning at www.abraham-hicks.com (I have their daily quotes as the first page that comes up when I go onto the Internet). It said:
It does not matter what path you take,
but it does matter if the path you are taking
is something you believe is appropriate.
NOTHING is more damaging to you
than to do something that you believe is wrong.
This is so true. In exploring and expressing your inner Bond grrl, one of the first orders of business is to do what you believe is appropriate. NOT appropriate because "that'll 'get'" the person that you're interacting with, or appropriate because "they had THIS coming," or appropriate because of anything but a true and honest, grounded feeling of "propriety" about whatever your action is.
Come on -- you know when you're doing something that's not motivated from your heart. As the book "Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting" said, you need to check, every time you do or say something, to be sure that it makes your heart sing. Not that it "makes you feel good" because you might convince yourself that that extra piece of chocolate cake "makes you feel good" when you eat it -- but in reality, it doesn't make your heart sing now, does it?? It just fills a void. Similarly, you might do something out of revenge, which makes you feel "GREAT" when you do it (or so you say). But does it make your heart sing? No. It makes you feel rotten. Come on, you know it.
So that's my little posting for today. If you do it, or if you say it, let's have a little "heart check" (not a "gut check" -- tho a "gut check" if it gives you a sinking feeling...that would be a N-O!). Does it make your heart sing? Does it make the corners of your eyes turn up a little in a smile? Well then, GO for it!
But if it's anything else -- don't. It's damaging to you -- you're only attracting more of the same to yourself, and, as they say, revenge is a bitter and cold meal that you eat alone.
